To me, art is a human experience projected on different forms that affect our sensory system such as visual, sound, touch, taste and smell. Through our senses our organism communicates with the world. Thus, I believe, the art is a messenger of everything that occur around us physically or emotionally transferred via the mind of the creator, artist. The message is accepted by another mind through the sensory system. If there is a resonance, it causes an emotional response, which can be positive or negative, depending on the complex mind neuroprocesses. Following this my definition, I focus on the creating emotional resonance by inviting visual senses of a viewer. Art was and still is my life passion. I inherited it from my father who used to paint in a realistic style, however, I am more inclined towards abstract expression. When expressing my inner emotions in painting, I love to be under no constraint or obligation. The understanding of particular moments in life and then relating them to my feelings is a significant path of my creativity. One might detect shades of Yves Tanguy or Salvador Dali, according to comments in my guestbook and fellow-artists reviews. I love their works as well as art created by many other famous and not-so-famous artists. But my creativity is highly original, it is pretty much straight from my brain. Otherwise I do not see any sense and joy in the process, I am interested in invention. I never work from photographs or try to copy the work of another artist. I simply do not enjoy discovering something that has been already discovered. I do not like to repeat myself, either. Each of my paintings is a new journey both for me and, I hope, for the observer. Some of my works invite the spectator into my world in “as it is” mode. Everything is given: associations through forms and/or the title, the mood through colors and/or light. My other paintings are just a signal, intention. In general, I do not expect that everyone will like my works. I focus on transferring my emotions onto 2D surface in the most possible expressive way and do it with the full enjoyment, which is my driving force.
